About Us

I'm Anne Reid A.D.C.R.G.

Anne Reid lives in Belfast and was a champion irish dancer with the Anna McCoy school of Irish Dance. After qualifying as a T.C.R.G. she set up the Reid school of Irish Dance and her pupils have won numerous Ulster, All Ireland and World Titles in both solo and Figure Dancing. They also performed at many festivals and on various television programmes such as   ‘The Young Champions’ and ‘Making a Difference’. Pupils from the school have also been members of both ‘Riverdance’ and ‘Lord of the Dance’ troupes.
Anne is also a qualified Adjudicator and was one of the Judges for the 2011 World Championships in Dublin and at the first Big Apple Feis in New York in 2009. She travels across the world, judging competitions and assessing dancers for the Irish Dance Commission Grade Exams.
Anne started Reel Style Irish Dance in the Island Arts Centre, Lisburn, 6 years ago aimed at Adults to have FUN and keep FIT through Irish Dance; a branch was established in Holy Family Parish centre, 120 Cavehill Rd, Belfast 2 years ago. Anne also provides workshops and teaches Ceili dances at Weddings and Corporate events.
Anne’s Reel-Style for children has been providing classes for pupils of The Holy Family Primary School, Antrim Rd Belfast, for 4 years and more recently in Hillsborough Village Centre, for the pupils of Downshire Primary school.
Anne is also a qualified school teacher and taught History and Politics in a local Grammar School where she was also Head of the Careers Department.  Described by many as a natural teacher, Anne teaches all levels from beginners to those returning to Irish dance and is assisted by past pupil, Kelly Devlin, also a qualified T.C.R.G.

Kelly Devlin T.C.R.G.

Kelly Devlin has been a member of the Reid School of Irish Dancing from the age of 4 years.  Kelly has won numerous titles including Belfast Championship, Ulster Championship and has danced in the World Championships every year until she took her T.C.R.G . examination. She also won World Championship medals in both Ceili and Figure Dance Teams.

Kelly has performed with the Reid School in ‘The Young Champions and’ ‘Making A Difference’ television programmes and also at many corporate events and at The Europa Hotel Summer Cabaret.  Kelly became a registered T.C.R.G in 2006 and is teaching in the IAC Adult class with Anne.
As well as teaching Irish Dancing, Kelly has a young daughter and works part time for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
